Class Description:
Co-sponsored by the Library Committee. Join Rabbi Cahana and Dr. Jill Strasser, a clinical psychologist who uses Mussar concepts in her psychotherapy practice, as they present two classes explaining the theory and practice of Mussar. Rabbi Cahana will give a sermon to set the stage for a series concerning the Jewish tradition of Mussar, in honor of Jewish Book Month. Mussar is the ancient and modern practice of Jewish ethics. Mussar offers Jewish paths of self-improvement and ethical decision-making. Congregants are urged to obtain and read Everyday Holiness: The Jewish Spiritual Path of Mussar by Alan Morinis.
