Class Description:
Claire Polansky will facilitate a workshop that explores age-old natural ink recipes prepared by Soferim (Torah scribes) and the Jewish tradition of installing the Mezuzah. Participants are invited to make their own mezuzah or prayer box out of natural and recycled materials. All faiths welcome.
Suggested items to bring:
-creativity
-strong glue- browny points for environmentally/animal friendly
-tiny jewelry boxes
-pieces of soft wood that can be carved
-bamboo
-beads
-small recycled miscellaneous items
