Class Description:
"Modern Marvels" is part of the reading and discussion series called “Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature.” The five-part series “Modern Marvels” explores Jewish literature and culture through scholar-led discussions of books on a common theme. The first session will meet Jan. 8 to explore A Contract with God by Will Eisner. Additional books will be discussed once per month at the library: The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman Feb. 12; Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer by Ben Katchor March 11; The Quitter by Harvey Pekar April 8; and The Rabbi’s Cat by Joann Sfar May 13. Associate Professor of English and Humanities Dr. Laura Leibman will lead the discussion. Registration begins Nov. 23; register for each session individually.
